Dr.
Exman has served the United Methodist Church for 39 years, 25 of them
as pastor of small town and rural churches.
He received his Master of Divinity from Asbury Seminary, Master of Arts in Evangelism form Scarrett College, and his Doctor of Ministry in Church Growth from Fuller Seminary.
Dr.
Exman has preached and consulted in more than 400 churches, including
jurisdictional and church-wide events. He is the former president of
the United Methodist Church Council on Evangelism.
Dr. Exman is also the author of Beyond the Numbers Game, a book about church growth and Get Ready...Get Set...Grow! which focuses on growth in town and rural church settings. This second book was used extensively in the 1980's and 1990's and has been updated and reprinted for the 21st Century.
